Zulum Rewards 30 Qur’an Memorisation Graduates with N30m

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has rewarded 30 graduates of the Indimi Trust Islamic Centre with N1 million each for successfully memorising the Holy Qur’an.

The beneficiaries, who received a total of N30 million, were sponsored by renowned businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi, through the Indimi Islamic Trust.

The presentation was made at the Indimi Mosque along the Old Damboa Road in Maiduguri during a ceremony held to celebrate the graduates and their achievement.

Speaking at the occasion, Zulum urged Islamic scholars to strengthen their efforts in promoting modesty, moral discipline and other Islamic values capable of shaping responsible citizens and strengthening society.

The event attracted prominent Islamic scholars, senior government officials and members of the business community from across Borno State.

Indimi has remained a major supporter of education and Islamic learning, particularly in the North-East. His philanthropic initiatives include a recent N2 billion donation to the University of Maiduguri Education Endowment Fund.
