Nigerian comedian and actor Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has graduated with a Master of Arts degree with Distinction in Performance (Acting) from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, United Kingdom.
The entertainer announced the achievement on Wednesday, November 4, through a social media post accompanied by a video showing moments from his graduation ceremony.
In his announcement, Adedayo described the academic experience as challenging but rewarding, saying it contributed to his personal and professional development.
“Completing this degree challenged me in so many ways, but I am glad to have embarked on this journey of personal and professional development,” he wrote.
He also expressed gratitude to God, his family, close friends and supporters who encouraged him throughout the programme.
The actor added that he appreciated everyone who had supported his journey as an artist, expressing optimism about future opportunities.
The qualification adds to Adedayo’s academic and professional background in the performing arts.
Before pursuing his postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom, he studied Theatre Arts and Film Studies at Redeemer’s University in Nigeria.
He also completed an Advanced Acting for Camera course at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London in 2025.
As part of his postgraduate training at Mountview, Adedayo expanded his experience beyond screen performances to theatre acting.
In July 2026, he made his London theatre debut in Howard Brenton’s historical play, 55 Days, portraying Lord Commander Thomas Fairfax.
The production, directed by James Yeatman, was staged at Mountview’s Backstage Theatre.
Widely recognised for his satirical comedy skits, particularly his portrayal of the character Daddy Wa, Mr Macaroni has also featured in several Nigerian film productions.
His film credits include Ayinla, Anikulapo, Brotherhood, Freedom Way and Lisabi: The Uprising.
His latest academic achievement marks another stage in his development as an entertainer, adding postgraduate training in acting to his experience across comedy, film and theatre.
