Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering impactful projects, noting that with just over 400 days remaining in office, his government is determined to make every moment count.
Speaking during the commissioning of major infrastructure projects in the state, Sanwo-Olu said more than 2,500 days have already been spent working to improve Lagos out of the 2,922 days of his tenure.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, commissioned three key projects, including the Ojora-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos Geographic Information Service Building, and the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex.
Sanwo-Olu described the Ojora-Opebi Link Bridge as a critical intervention to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity across one of the city’s busiest corridors.
“This new connection will ease congestion, shorten travel time, and make daily life less stressful for thousands of people,” he said.
He added that the Lagos Geographic Information Service Building would modernise land administration by replacing outdated manual systems with more transparent and efficient processes.
The governor also noted that the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex would enhance coordination among government agencies and improve service delivery.
“These projects reflect how we approach governance. We focus on real problems and deliver practical solutions. What matters most is results that people can see and feel,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
He expressed appreciation to engineers, contractors, and public servants who contributed to the successful delivery of the projects, assuring residents that his administration would continue to prioritise development.
“There is still more to do, and we are not slowing down. In the time we have left, we will keep building and keep working to improve the quality of life for every Lagosian,” he added.
Sanwo-Olu also commended President Tinubu for his continued support and leadership, noting that ongoing reforms are making a positive impact across Nigeria.
