Sanwo-Olu Hosts Alara of Ilara Ahead of LASU Chancellor Investiture

L Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has hosted the Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, at Lagos House in Ikeja, as part of activities marking his investiture as the 6th Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU).

The visit highlighted the importance of the new chancellorship role within the university’s governance framework, with the state government expressing optimism about the future of the institution under the monarch’s influence.

Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that the Alara’s wealth of experience and leadership pedigree position him to make meaningful contributions to the university’s advancement.

“His leadership and experience will add real value to the continued growth of Lagos State University,” the governor stated.

He further extended his goodwill to the traditional ruler, expressing confidence in his success as he assumes the prestigious role.
