LThe Kwara State Government has announced that the first-ever Computer-Based Test (CBT) promotion examination for staff of the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) will hold on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
The Executive Chairman of TESCOM, Mall. Bello Tauheed Abubakar, disclosed this during a management meeting on Thursday. He commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for approving the landmark initiative, noting that TESCOM has become the first government parastatal in the state to conduct a computer-based promotion examination for its staff. According to him, the innovation aligns with global best practices and prepares teachers for the evolving examination system as major bodies like WAEC and NECO move toward full CBT operations.
Abubakar explained that the promotion test will commence by 9:00 a.m. at the Kwara State College of Education CBT Centre, Ilorin, urging all participants to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled time and bring along original copies of their credentials. He also announced the opening of the documentation portal — tescom.kwarastate.gov.ng — which became active at 12:00 a.m. on October 17, 2025, for staff information submission.
The Chairman cautioned that only staff who complete the online documentation will be eligible to sit for the promotion examination. He added that interviews would follow immediately after the CBT exercise at the same venue, during which officers will be required to present their Enhancement Certificate or Clearance for verification.
