Sanwo-Olu Hails Dangote for Launching N100bn Annual Education Support Programme

L Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has commended the Aliko Dangote Foundation for unveiling its N100 billion annual Education Support Programme, describing it as a monumental investment in Nigeria’s future.

In a statement, the governor said the initiative represents “a remarkable investment in the potential of our young people” and demonstrates what is achievable when the private sector shows commitment to national development.

Sanwo-Olu noted that Lagos State will continue to back programmes that strengthen learning, empower teachers, and equip students with the tools needed to excel. He reaffirmed that education remains the bedrock of a stronger economy and a safer, more prosperous society.

Expressing optimism about the initiative’s impact, the governor said he looks forward to seeing “the difference this programme will make in classrooms and communities across Nigeria.”
