Lai Mohammed Donates Book to UniAbuja Library

T The University of Abuja has received copies of a newly published book from former Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed.

In a statement, the institution disclosed that Mohammed donated copies of his book titled “Headlines and Soundbites: Media Moments that Defined an Administration” to the university library as part of efforts to contribute to academic development and scholarship.

According to the former minister, the book is an insider scholarly account on governance, communication, and nation building, offering rare behind-the-scenes insights into how key national policies were conceived, defended, and communicated in real time during his tenure.

Mohammed explained that the publication documents his stewardship of what he described as a vast and complex ministry, which covered information management, cultural development, tourism promotion, and national orientation over an eight-year period.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the university, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Hakeem Babatunde Fawehinmi, applauded the author for giving back to society.

He assured that the university would put the donated copies to good use, particularly for teaching, learning, and research purposes within the institution.
