Fountain University has celebrated three years of what it described as “impactful and visionary leadership” under its Vice Chancellor, Olayinka Ramota Karim, marking a milestone in the institution’s recent history of growth and reform.
The university community gathered at a special commemorative event tagged “A Date with the Vice Chancellor” to reflect on the transformational journey that began on March 1, 2023. Staff and students attended the programme in what was described as an atmosphere of gratitude and shared accomplishment.
The event featured a lecture titled “Leadership with Faith and Compassion: An Islamic Reflection on Trust, Service, and Impact,” delivered by the Deputy Registrar, Mr. Rauf Oladapo. The lecture underscored the values of trust, service, and faith-based leadership that have shaped the administration’s approach over the past three years.
A major highlight of the celebration was an interactive dialogue session between the Vice Chancellor, staff, and students. The session, participants said, reinforced a culture of openness, shared vision, and collective responsibility within the institution.
According to the university, the past three years have recorded significant infrastructural development, improved staff welfare and support systems, enhanced student experience, and stronger stakeholder engagement. “Indeed, the progress has been rapid and purposeful, anchored on trust, service, and impactful leadership,” the institution stated.
The university community expressed appreciation for the strides recorded so far, noting that the administration’s leadership has been “displayed in action.” They also wished the Vice Chancellor continued success and greater achievements in the years ahead.
