Woman, Five Children Killed in Kano

K Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep grief over the brutal killing of a woman and her five children in Dorayi Chiranchi Quarters of the state, describing the incident as inhuman, senseless and a grave violation of human dignity.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor extended his condolences to the bereaved family, the Dorayi Chiranchi community and the entire people of Kano State.

He prayed that Allah grants the deceased eternal rest and gives their loved ones the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

Governor Yusuf vowed that those responsible for the killings would be brought to justice, directing the Kano State Police Command to intensify investigations and ensure the perpetrators are tracked down and prosecuted.

He also ordered the Kano State Neighbourhood Corps to strengthen patrols and community surveillance, particularly in vulnerable areas, to prevent a recurrence of such tragic incidents.

The governor urged residents to remain calm, cooperate with security agencies and promptly report any suspicious activities, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the protection of lives and property across the state.

Meanwhile, security agencies have confirmed the arrest of three suspects in connection with the killings.
