Pasuma Dedicates OPIC Mansion to Late Mother, Alhaja Adijat Kuburat

F Fuji music icon, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, has revealed that his magnificent house in OPIC was built in honor of his late mother, Alhaja Adijat Kuburat, fondly called Iyawo Anobi. The veteran singer disclosed that the home was intended as a tribute to her, following her passing in 2021.

Pasuma explained that while he had hoped his mother would live to enjoy the comfort of the property, she unfortunately did not live long enough to witness its completion. “I built it in her memory,” he said, stressing that the house stands as a lasting symbol of his love, gratitude, and respect for the woman who raised him.

Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, popularly known as Oganla 1 of Fuji, is one of Nigeria’s most celebrated Fuji musicians. Born on November 27, 1967, in Mushin, Lagos, Pasuma rose from humble beginnings to become a household name in the entertainment industry. Since releasing his debut album Recognition in 1993, he has consistently maintained his relevance with numerous hit albums, electrifying performances, and collaborations with both Fuji and contemporary Afrobeats stars.
