NAF Officer Wins Prestigious BAE Systems Trophy at RAF Cranwell

T The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has achieved another significant milestone in its officer development efforts, as one of its officers distinguished himself at the Royal Air Force (RAF) College, Cranwell, in the United Kingdom.

At the Passing Out Parade of the Modular Initial Officer Training Course No. 38, held on December 18, 2025, Pilot Officer Y. B. Usman was awarded the prestigious BAE Systems Trophy in recognition of his outstanding performance.

The BAE Systems Trophy is presented to a RAF or international cadet who attains the highest marks in professional studies during the course, underscoring exceptional academic competence and professional aptitude.

Usman’s accomplishment reflects the high standards of professionalism, discipline, and academic excellence upheld by Nigerian Air Force officers undergoing international training, further enhancing the NAF’s reputation on the global military stage.
