In a bid to improve the health status of residents in Lagos, the Global Youths Sustainability Foundation (GYSF), in partnership with Lightshade Hospitals, recently held a medical outreach in Ayobo, Lagos State.
The outreach recorded a remarkable turnout, with over 100 adults and children receiving free healthcare services. Beneficiaries enjoyed free blood pressure checks, malaria tests, and medical consultations. They were also given free malaria drugs, blood pressure suppression drugs, pain relief medication, and mosquito nets.
Speaking at the event, the founder of GYSF, Ikimat Salawu Yusuff, described the exercise as seamless and impactful. She emphasized the importance of regular health checks in maintaining a good quality of life.
“There was a huge turnout, and we are glad everything went smoothly. It is important that people know their health status in order to live healthier lives,” she said.
Yusuff also expressed gratitude to Lightshade Hospitals, volunteers, and well-wishers who contributed to the success of the outreach.
