Gbajabiamila Endorses Hamzat For 2027 Lagos Governorship

C Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has endorsed Lagos State Deputy Governor, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, for the 2027 governorship election.

Gbajabiamila, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, expressed strong confidence in Hamzat’s leadership capacity, declaring, “Surulere is for you, Lagos is for you to win.”

He praised the deputy governor’s competence and experience, adding that there is “no doubt that Lagos is in safe hands” under Hamzat’s potential leadership.

The endorsement is widely seen as a major boost to Hamzat’s ambition within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

Hamzat has in recent weeks intensified consultations with party leaders and key stakeholders as he seeks to secure the party’s ticket ahead of the 2027 governorship race.
