GAC Endorses Hamzat as Lagos APC Governorship Candidate for 2027

T The Governance Advisory Council (GAC) has unanimously endorsed the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 elections.

The announcement was made on behalf of the council by Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi during a meeting held at Lagos House Marina.

According to the GAC, members of the council also collectively paid for Hamzat’s nomination form, signaling strong internal support for his candidacy ahead of the party’s primary process.

The endorsement follows a series of consultations across key stakeholders within the party structure in the state.
