Comedian Sanku Dies in Fatal Crash

T The Nigerian entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of fast-rising comedian and skitmaker, Sanku, who lost his life in a fatal auto accident along the Oyo-Ogbomoso highway in Oyo State.

The crash, which occurred on Monday, left several passengers injured, while videos shared online by fellow entertainers showed Sanku’s mangled vehicle and his lifeless body lying by the roadside.

Confirming the sad news, colleagues in the comedy and Nollywood community expressed shock and disbelief. Many took to social media to mourn the late skitmaker, describing his death as a huge loss to the creative industry.

Popular actress Funmi Awelewa (a.k.a Morili) penned an emotional tribute, lamenting:

“The pain, the effort, the strength, the struggle… walai nothing make sense. I’m heartbroken. Even film sef never come out! It does not make sense.”

Reports revealed that Sanku and another victim were critically injured in the crash and rushed to a hospital in Ogbomoso, where the comedian later succumbed to his injuries.

The late entertainer, known for his humorous skits and rising influence in the comedy scene, had been working on new projects before his untimely death. His passing has left fans and colleagues devastated, with tributes continuing to pour in from across the country.
