These recognitions were made at the 3rd National Conference of the Academy of Innovative Research, Science and Technological Development (AcIRSTD), themed 'Attaining Socio-economic Development in Nigeria through Science, Technology and Innovation', which held at the Nigerian National Merit Award House, Abuja, on March 25 and 26, 2026.
As part of the activities of the Conference, Prof. Adedimeji was decorated and certified a Fellow of the Academy, in acknowledgement of his vast contributions to the development of higher education in Nigeria.
Besides, he was also appointed a Member of the Board of Directors of the Academy in recognition of his sterling leadership qualities.
In his remarks at the occasion, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the leadership of the Academy for giving him additional challenge and noted that he would continue to work collaboratively with others in the Board of Directors to promote scholarship, advance research and support developmental initiatives both within and outside the academia.
