APC Lagos Holds State Congress

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that its 2026 State Congress will hold on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium (formerly Onikan Stadium), Lagos Island.
According to the official notice, the congress is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. prompt.
The announcement, issued pursuant to Article 12.8 of the party’s constitution, stated that the event will bring together key stakeholders and delegates of the party across the state.
“Pursuant to the provisions of Article 12.8 of the Party’s Constitution, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, hereby announces the scheduled 2026 State Congress,” the notice read.
Those qualified to attend include members of the State Advisory Council; the State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee; the State Governor and Deputy Governor who are members of the party; serving and past members of the National Assembly and State House of Assembly from Lagos State who belong to the APC; and members of the National Executive Committee from the state.
Also expected at the congress are elected Local Government Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen, councillors who are party members, Local Government Area party chairmen and secretaries, five elected ward delegates per ward, and members of the Zonal Executive Committee from the state.
The party emphasized that accreditation will be strictly enforced.
“All delegates are required to present their valid party membership cards and official accreditation tags for entry,” the notice added.
The statement was signed by the Chairman, Lagos State Congress Committee.
The congress is expected to play a significant role in shaping the party’s structure and leadership in Lagos State ahead of future political activities.
