Sanwo-Olu Joins Flutterwave, Invest Africa Roundtable in New York, Seeks Partnerships to Drive Digital Economy
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called for stronger public-private sector collaboration to unlock Africa’s digital economy and accelerate sustainable economic growth across the continent.
Sanwo-Olu made the call while participating in the Africa Forward: Investing in the Next Decade of Growth Executive Roundtable, organised by Flutterwave and Invest Africa in New York, United States.
The governor said the discussion focused on strategies for scaling Africa’s digital economy and building partnerships capable of supporting the continent’s growth over the next decade.
According to him, the participation of leaders from the business, finance and government sectors demonstrated a shared commitment to exploring the opportunities available across Africa.
“Unlocking our continent’s potential will take real collaboration between the public and private sectors,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He noted that Lagos remained open to strategic partnerships capable of creating jobs, attracting investment and strengthening the state’s position as a leading digital and business hub in Africa.
Sanwo-Olu added that sustained collaboration among governments, businesses and financial institutions would be critical to translating Africa’s economic potential into tangible opportunities for its people.
