The Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has unequivocally dismissed reports of a supposed "Two Hundred Million Naira Bursary Scheme for Four Thousand Students of Ondo State Origin" allegedly initiated by the Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo Foundation.
Addressing these claims, the minister’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Alao Babatunde, released a statement on Wednesday categorically denying the existence of such a scheme.
"This announcement being circulated online is nothing but a fabrication. There is no truth to the claim, and the public is advised to disregard it completely," the statement read.
The minister emphasized the critical need for the public to rely on verified and official channels for information, cautioning against the dissemination of false news.
"The Hon. (Dr.) Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo Foundation has not launched any bursary scheme of this nature. We urge the public to be cautious and verify any news before circulating it," Babatunde added.
