Sanwo-Olu Inaugurates Tolu Schools Complex in Lagos

G Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commissioned the fully regenerated Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, marking a major boost to public education infrastructure in Lagos State.

The project saw the transformation of a cluster of 36 public schools into a modern and functional learning environment, featuring new classroom blocks, rehabilitated buildings, science laboratories, a vocational centre, and an ICT hub.

“We have transformed a cluster of 36 public schools into a functional and dignified learning environment… addressing overcrowding and improving the overall learning experience,” the governor said.

Sanwo-Olu explained that the complex, established in 1981, had become overstretched over the years due to increasing student population, making its comprehensive upgrade necessary.

“This complex has served generations of students. Over time, it became overstretched. We made a deliberate decision to change that and give it a new lease of life,” he added.

He noted that the upgraded facility will provide a safer, more conducive, and inspiring space for students in Ajeromi-Ifelodun, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving the quality of education across the state.
