Rivers Police Arrest 32 in Viral Child Dehumanisation Case

T The Rivers State Police Command has arrested 27 parents and five senior pastors over a viral video showing minors allegedly subjected to dehumanising treatment under the guise of spiritual cleansing.

Parading the suspects before journalists at the Eneka Divisional Police Station, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed that a high-powered investigation is underway to ensure all culprits face justice.

According to Iringe-Koko, 32 children have been rescued and placed under protective custody while investigations continue. She stressed that the police are committed to safeguarding the rights and dignity of the minors and will not relent until the matter is fully resolved.
