The National Forum of Former Legislators (NFFL) has formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office at its 2026 Summit, citing confidence in his leadership and reform agenda.
The summit, convened by the Chief of Staff to the President and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, brought together former federal and state lawmakers, as well as other prominent stakeholders from across the country.
Held under the theme “National Unity and Nation Building: 2031,” the gathering focused on issues of national cohesion, democratic consolidation, and sustainable development as Nigeria prepares for the next decade.
Participants at the event described President Tinubu’s administration as purposeful and forward-looking, noting ongoing reforms aimed at strengthening governance, fostering unity, and positioning the country for long-term growth.
Speaking at the summit, organisers said the endorsement reflected a shared belief in the President’s capacity to sustain reforms and guide Nigeria through complex national challenges. “After careful deliberation, members of the forum unanimously resolved to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term, based on his commitment to national unity and development,” a communiqué from the summit stated.
The endorsement was adopted unanimously by attendees, who also pledged continued support for the President’s vision and policy direction ahead of future political engagements.
