The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has signed the 2026 Hajj Airlift Agreement as part of early preparations for the forthcoming pilgrimage, with a strong warning to participating airlines to strictly adhere to operational standards and approved timelines.
The commission said the agreement is designed to guarantee seamless transportation of Nigerian pilgrims to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing safety, punctuality and full regulatory compliance.
According to NAHCON, efficient airlift operations remain a critical component of the overall success of the Hajj exercise, noting that any lapses in service delivery could undermine the pilgrimage experience for thousands of Nigerian pilgrims.
The commission stressed that all approved carriers must meet established guidelines and service commitments, adding that it would closely monitor performance to ensure strict compliance with the terms of the agreement.
NAHCON reaffirmed its commitment to delivering a smooth, well-coordinated and hitch-free 2026 Hajj operation, assuring intending pilgrims of improved logistics and enhanced service standards.
