Kwara Govt Hands Over New School Facilities Across Communities

T The Kwara State Government has handed over several newly constructed and renovated school facilities to community leaders across the state on Tuesday, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the education sector and enhancing the learning environment in public schools.

At the handover ceremony at ECWA Secondary School, Wokowomu in Omu-Aran, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr. Lawal Olohungbebe, handed over two renovated classroom blocks fully equipped with furniture, reiterating that the state will continue to prioritise investments in education infrastructure.

"No meaningful learning can take place in an unconducive or dilapidated environment. The administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is committed to ensuring students in public schools have access to facilities that support learning and academic growth," Dr. Olohungbebe said.

At Olokuta Senior Secondary School, Anfeyinoja, the government constructed a new block consisting of three classrooms with an office and furniture, along with a two-room toilet facility and a motorised borehole powered by a generator.

Mount Carmel Junior Secondary School, Ilorin, has received three newly built classrooms, an office, toilet facilities and a motorised borehole to improve water access within the school premises.

At Ansarul-Islam Secondary School, Osi, the state government completed the construction of an examination hall, a two-room toilet facility and a motorised borehole.

Senior Secondary School, Gbagba, benefited from the completion of a new examination hall to support large-scale student assessments.

At Community Secondary School, Olokonla, the state government constructed a new examination hall, a two-room toilet facility, and provided a motorised borehole to support hygiene and water supply.
