Addressing the congregation, the cleric stated that the Ramadan fast for this year would last a full 30 days. “Friday, March 20, 2026, will mark Eid el-Fitr,” he declared.

He also advised worshippers to prepare adequately for the festive day by ensuring they eat well before going for eid prayers.
