Toluwanisings: Family Fixes October 27 for Night of Tributes in Ibadan
The family of late Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonle Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has announced October 27 for a night of tributes in his honour in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, where family members, friends, colleagues and members of the Christian community are expected to gather to celebrate his life and ministry.
The announcement, shared on the singer’s Instagram account on October 20, invited loved ones and admirers to reflect on his life, share memories and offer thanksgiving.
The organisers described Toluwanisings as a brother, friend and gospel minister whose music and ministry touched lives.
They said the gathering would provide an opportunity for people to come together in remembrance of the singer and celebrate the legacy he left behind.
Toluwanisings died on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. His death was followed by tributes from members of the gospel music community and other admirers.
The singer had ministered at a praise concert organised by fellow gospel artiste Bidemi Olaoba in Ibadan shortly before his death.
His passing also drew attention to concerns about access to emergency medical care after his personal assistant, Babadunni Gbolabo, alleged that several hospitals failed to admit him when he needed medical attention. Those allegations require careful distinction from any independently established findings about the circumstances of his death.
The October 27 gathering is expected to bring together people who knew the singer personally and those who followed his music and ministry.
The family has also appealed for support for his wife and children following his death.
