UBEC, Presidency Move to Showcase Federal Government’s Basic Education Achievements

The Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Aisha M. Garba, has reiterated the importance of strategic communication in promoting the Federal Government’s achievements in the basic education sector.

Garba made this known during a meeting with the Personal Assistant to the President on Radio, Rahma Abdulmajid, and members of the UBEC Public Relations Department at the commission’s headquarters.

According to her, effective governance is driven by collaboration, transparency and purposeful communication, stressing the need to keep Nigerians informed about ongoing reforms and progress in the education sector.

She said the engagement focused on strategies for showcasing the Federal Government’s achievements in expanding access to quality basic education, strengthening educational infrastructure, advancing digital learning, improving teacher development and implementing reforms aimed at enhancing learning outcomes nationwide.

The UBEC Executive Secretary noted that the meeting also explored ways of effectively communicating these milestones to the public to increase awareness of the administration’s efforts to reposition the education sector for sustainable national development.

Garba emphasised that highlighting stories of impact, innovation and transformation would strengthen public confidence and reinforce the collective commitment to providing quality basic education for every Nigerian child.

She reaffirmed UBEC’s commitment to working with relevant stakeholders to promote initiatives that will build a stronger, more inclusive and future-ready education system for the benefit of present and future generations.
