Super Eagles Begin AFCON 2025 Preparations, Face Egypt in Friendly

T The Super Eagles of Nigeria have commenced preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with their first training session in camp, ahead of an international friendly against Egypt scheduled for today.

A total of 22 players are currently in camp, offering the technical crew an early opportunity to assess players’ fitness levels, form, and tactical understanding as preparations for the continental tournament gather momentum.

Goalkeepers in camp include Francis Uzoho, Stanley Nwabali, and Amas Obasogie. The defensive unit features Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Zaidu Sanusi, Igho Ogbu, Bruno Onyemaechi, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Ryan Alebiosu.

In midfield, the Super Eagles boast a blend of experience and creativity with the presence of Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi, Raphael Onyedika, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Akinsanmiro Ebenezer.

The attacking department is led by Ademola Lookman, alongside Paul Onuachu, Cyril Dessers, Akor Adams, and Chidera Ejuke, giving the team multiple options going forward.
