"Tinubu to hold high-level talks with Chinese president in Beijing

Presidential spokesperson, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, has announced that President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to visit Beijing in early September for a meeting with the President of the People's Republic of China.
Although the exact departure date is yet to be confirmed, Chief Ngelale revealed that the President will participate in a series of discussions with his Chinese counterpart and 10 CEOs of prominent corporations, aimed at boosting Nigeria's economic interests.
The Vanguard newspaper reports that President Tinubu, during the visit, will engage in bilateral talks, sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and enter into agreements that will foster cooperation in various sectors, including green economy, blue economy development, and other areas.
Other areas of focus are national, regional and international security issues including the completion of the Abuja to Ibadan segment of the Lagos-Kaduna standard railway.
Ajuri was reported to have added that issues on information technology, refining, oil and gas, and satellite technology would not be left out when the two leaders eventually meet in Beijing.
